Where did you grow up?

Shreveport, Louisiana.  Famous for Captain Shreve, the Red River, Mudbug Madness, and casino boats.

Tell us about your family.

I met my wife, Sarah, through a class at The Austin Stone and we were married in July of 2010.  We have been blessed with two daughters – Waverly in 2011 and Lucy in 2012.  God certainly put our family on the fast track, and we are loving every minute of it.  I have been the Director of Children’s Ministry at The Austin Stone since 2005, and have always wanted children of my own.  I’m thankful that God has answered that prayer, and that I get the honor of pastoring children both as my career and in my home.

What did you want to be when you were younger? A Toys R Us kid

Who is your hero? C.S. Lewis

If you could only have one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?

I think pizza.  As long as I could switch out the toppings once in a while.

What do you love most about leading in KIDS?

I love taking the vision, direction, and teaching from our church leaders and elders and working to find ways to teach it to our littlest church family members.  I also love seeing when a child really grasps a truth about God and makes it their own, or seeing a volunteer realize how important what they do is to the kingdom of God.
