What is ATX STudent Weekend?

ATX Student Weekend is a Disciple Now (Dnow) style weekend where students stay in host homes and gather together for worship, biblical teaching, mentorship from adult leaders, time with friends, and a ton of fun.

Our hope is that this weekend will strengthen the faith and biblical friendships of our students at the beginning of a new year. We desire to help our students center their hearts on Jesus and build Christ-centered friendships so they can live on mission in their schools, sports teams, and neighborhoods.

ATX Student Weekend is not about the name of The Austin Stone, but rather about lifting high the name of Jesus in the city of Austin. We are collaborating with several churches throughout the city of Austin, and we have combined our resources to host an incredible weekend where more than 1,000 students and leaders will gather in solidarity to be empowered in their faith.

You don’t want to miss this!

Host Homes

ATX Student Weekend will be hosted at Riverbend Church. Students from all participating churches will be staying in host homes throughout the city. Students from The Austin Stone will be staying in homes of fellow Austin Stone attenders who have applied and offered to open their homes to students and leaders. Time spent at host homes will primarily include sleeping, small group time, and breakfast. Those who have offered their homes have completed a screening process and background check.

Scroll down to see a detailed schedule of the weekend, including time spent in host homes.

If you have any questions about our host homes or would like to volunteer your home, please email your campus STUDENTS Director.

Additional Information

In order for us to steward our resources well for this event, refunds can only be issued if you cancel at least 21 days prior to the event.

Students will not be allowed to drive during the weekend.

At least two leaders will be staying at each host home. The student/leader ratio will allow for students to ride with leaders to and from host homes and Riverbend.

We will do our best to place each student in a group with other students from their DCOMM, campus, and/or grade.

Host homes will only host one gender.

Free time will be up to leaders/students based on what they want to do, but it will include things like Blazer Tag, Pitch & Putt, roller-skating, South Congress shops, Topgolf, Domain shops, and bowling.

All sessions will be held at Riverbend. Students will either be at Riverbend or at host homes, except for during Saturday afternoon free time.

More information regarding pickup, drop-off, and medications will be provided ASAP.

If you have any questions or are interested in hosting a small group at your home, please email your campus STUDENTS Director.
